Creating In Bloom
This collection celebrates the unfurling joy of colour after a long winter. Winter was a time of hibernation, a lull, a time to reflect . The colour seems all the richer, the blooms all the sweeter after this stillness.
Many of the paintings for In Bloom were created in lockdown when there was so much darkness in the world. This collection is an ode to blooming into a new season and combines elements from where we have been in the last few years through the lockdowns. Columbia road flower market in London, a bunch of freesias from Canberra, cosmos from our mum’s garden in Zimbabwe.
In Bloom captures this time, ultimately celebrating the joy of reunion after a long winter apart.

jej & boc is an Australian fashion and textile design studio, dedicated to creating a playful approach to fashion with bold patterns and vibrant colours.
jej & boc is based on Whadjuk Noongar country in Fremantle, Western Australia. All our garments are designed and made in Australia.
jej & boc brings together local craftsmanship and design to create quality garments. Our design process embodies the slow fashion movement- we carefully consider all aspects of our supply chain and focus on the long-term wellbeing of people and our planet. We deliberately choose natural fibres and design silhouettes that are both effortless and timeless to ensure the longevity of our pieces.
Meet The Makers
Jess and Bec are the sisters behind the jej & boc studio. Bec is our textile designer, she creates bold designs with vivid colours and hand-drawn motifs. Jess directs the fashion component of jej & boc, conjuring up the perfect silhouettes to showcase the textiles.
